Dear Diary,
Now that 2007 is over, it's time to make room for a new year. A better one that only you are in charge of, what do you wish, your goals, your memories?
Although it IS a new year, that means new resolutions and ideas, 2007's greatest times will never be forgotten. Here's a list of most of the greatest times in 2007 that I will never forget! In no particular order..
- Getting my ears pierced on Memorial day (Monday) at piercing pagoda.
Summer vacation, almost over.. nothing felt different about going to sixth grade. Especially the fact that I had been "not accepted" into Hoover, where all my wonderful friends are going. How sad! I need to make some changes, it could be true I'll be heading to a new school, that means new friends, a new start! What could I do? Get braces? NO! That's too painful. Cut my hair? Nah, too simple. I want something more outstanding! Glasses? Eww.. I'd be a nerd. So finally, after seeing everyone with earings in my class, I decided to do that as well. So, along came with me, June, my chicken friend! We got our ears pierced and I couldn't wait to show it off!
- Going to Oakland and getting Lucky on Father's day.
It was Father's Day in 2007, after begging for 2 months to get a puppy and searching over the internet, newspaper, and pet stores.. we finally found a great local newspaper article selling yorkies. So, I went over some puppy information sites and found out that yorkshire terriers are one of the smartiest, but trickiest puppies. They're adorable and considered one of the top show dogs. Very proffesional and comforting. We then drove across the bridge, reaching Oakland. There, the seller, John, told us to meet him in front of the purple building where. He didn't live in Oakland because he told us he was comming from an airport, so maybe he.. I dunno. Soon, he arrived with a cute girl, and 3 small puppies at the age of three months! We hugged and shreeked over each puppy. They explained their personalities and described which ones are which. Of course, the kids liked the small puppy. But dad liked the big one. Since it was Father's day, we decided to get the middle one. We took him home and decided to name him Lucky.
- 5th grade graguation
Alas, the last day of school was finally here. Summer was here. Leaving WPE was here. We had rehearsed all week about what songs we'd sing, our graguation march and signing year books. We sang Fifty Nifty, a song telling all the songs of the USA. And some other songs including National Anthem. We then took lots of pictures and said goodbye.
Everything we've done through 2007, including the anger, happiness, sadness, joy and everything!!
So let's give a good applause to 2007 and welcome 2008 into our lives. Praise the Lord.
Amen.
